Bikaner & Baseball

I was recently in Bikaner and what a lovely city it is. Clean wide roads, no chaos and every thing seemed well in order until I visited the old galies and the bada bazaar of Bikaner. It is like any other crowded market with a number of auto rickshaws (long ones) thrown in. The way these guys zig zag, god helps, if you are there on a bad day. But somehow they maneuver well :).


Once you are out of the crowded market and head to Karni Singh Stadium or to royal cenotaphs at Devi Kund, the roads are absolutely lovely. The other notable thing that I observed in Bikaner was base ball. I saw a bunch of guys playing baseball in Bikaner on a lazy Sunday Morning. It was something I had not expected. It was quite a discovery.
